Steinberg to return to his Rolls-Royce
Steinberg made a a triumphant concert debut with the Cleveland Orchestra in 2001 and since then he returns to them on a regular basis.

In a recent interview he likened the Cleveland Orchestra to a Rolls-Royce, an apt analogy for an ensemble with a powerful engine under a shiny musical hood. In 2012/13 Steinberg will conduct three performances in Severance Hall, on October 18, 19 and 20, 2012, featuring an all-Russian programme, with works by Prokofiev, Rimsky-Korsakov and Tchaikovsky.
