István Várdai in Yaroslavl
The cellist István Várdai performed on May 12th with the Moscow Soloists works of Paganini and Tchaikovsky in the Russian town of Yaroslavl at Yuri Bashmet's Festival.

For the fifth consecutive year, Yaroslavl, one of the oldest Russian cities, played host in May to the International Music Festival, directed by the world-famous viola player and conductor, Yuri Bashmet. At the closing concert of the Festival, on May 12th, István Várdai performed with the Moscow Soloists, under the baton of Yuri Bashmet, Paganini's Mozes Variations and Tchaikovsky's Nocturne. Members of the orchestra played on Stradivari instruments from Russian state collections.
