Back from festivals, Baráti records Brahms sonatas
Kristóf Baráti's crowded summer programme included concerts at four important European music festivals: Szombathely (Bartók seminar), Toblach (Mahler Music Weeks), Rheingau and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

On July 13th at Szombathely he performed Bartók's Sonata for Solo Violin, a piece which he also played - along with piano-violin sonatas of Ravel and Dohnányi - on July 19th at the Mahler Festival in the South Tirolian village of Toblach where the great composer spent his last three summers. On July 24th and 26th he was soloist of the Hungarian Chamber Orchestra at two prestigious German music festivals: Rheingau and Mecklenburg Vorpommern. Between August 21st and 23rd he recorded with Klára Würtz in the Kodály Centre of Pécs  the three violin-piano sonatas of Brahms for the Brilliant Classics label.
